Unless you have been under a rock lately, you should know that Blackberry Messenger designed for OS 5.0 has been leaked out to the general public. There has been a swarm of people who have downloaded since then. For some it works flawlessly, while others have experienced a few issues.

What do we know about it so far? One, it will only work if you have Blackberry OS 4.5.131 or higher (so if you are one of those who still haven’t upgraded, forget about it). It is good for the Blackberry 83xx, 88xx, 81xx, Bold, Curve 8900, Storm, and pretty much everything in between.

Some of the features include a new UI look, avatar icons, a recent updates feature (a la Facebook status, Twitter), barcode scanning to add new contacts, and more. Finally an updated look! Wait your still reading this? You should be downloading already.
